I didn’t have this on my bingo card for today:

Folks, this is what identity politics brainwashing looks like.

This is what’s birthed from a marriage of ignorance and privilege.

Imagine believing that your race determines the quality of the cards you choose to buy. 🤦🏻‍♂️

📠 The facts: Better collections are built with better finances, not your race.

Asians do far better in the US financially than any other race*, hence they’re able to afford cards that the hobby hive mind deems “aesthetic”.

  • Median net worth: $579K Asians, $188K for Whites
  • Median household income: $98K Asians, $68K for Whites, and $45K for Blacks

Disparities in access to scarce resources (like cool cards) can almost always be explained by factors other than race.

I recommend hitting ‘unfollow’ whenever you see someone advocating for this type of garbage. Your collecting enjoyment and mental health will improve. 📈
